“The Horrible Reality of Hunger”
There is a virus in the world that kills 8,500 children a day, called “Hunger”. There is a cure called “Food” but unfortunately, nobody talks about it, not media, not influencers and not any Bollywood Actor & Actress whom you blindly follow-on Different Platforms like social media. So, let me talk about it today, because I feel, if I won’t talk, nobody would ever talk about it.
Around 9 million people die every year of hunger and hunger-related diseases. This is more than from AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined.
A child dies from hunger every 10 seconds. This is The Horrible Reality of Hunger for Millions of people worldwide.
Poor nutrition and hunger is responsible for the death of 3.1 million children a year. That’s nearly half of all deaths in children under the age of 5. The children die because their bodies lack basic nutrients.
Globally, 822 million people suffer from undernourishment.
Hunger statistics show progress but it’s fading. The number of people affected by hunger has decreased by 189 million people since 1990. But in recent years, the positive development has stopped. Since 2015, we have seen an increase in hungry people globally every year.
It will be a huge challenge to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger by 2030.
There are many non-profit organizations and volunteers like the UN all around the World who are fighting constantly against this without any recognition or media coverage. But the question is whether the governments of different nations are doing their job or not?
Why even after thousands of years of Evolution and Development are we still facing such harsh and solvable issue? Why?
From this report, I would like to urge everyone not to waste food. Also, if possible, always try to support poor people, may be by giving them some food or ration but please do. It is not just a nation’s responsibility but an individual’s duty to support each other in need.
What do you think about this virus called “Hunger”? Please comment and let me know. And also let me know, why your idols or influencers on Instagram or any other social media platforms never talked about this issue, i.e. “The Horrible Reality of Hunger” but they always talk about their Movies? Why??
